This page collects the board games most Indian players grew up with, plus a few classics from elsewhere. Ludo and chess are the big two. Ludo asks for luck and a bit of patience with dice, while chess rewards planning ahead and spotting what your opponent wants. Checkers sits in between: simple rules, but you learn to trade pieces well. Backgammon mixes dice with smart moves, and solitaire is a solo card game you can finish in a short break.
