About the game
3D Chess - Arcane Edition is chess in a fairy-tale garden, with pieces made of copper and gold. You face spirits on the board at Easy, Medium or Hard, and the computer runs on Stockfish, a strong chess engine that works inside your browser.
Tap a piece, then tap a glowing dot to move it. Land on an enemy square to take that piece. Checkmate the other king and the game ends. A lightbulb gives you up to three hints per game, and you can spin the camera by dragging. Want a human rival? Open a private room, share the code, and a friend joins as the other color. No login needed, and rooms disappear once everyone leaves.
How to play
- Pick a piece with a tap, then tap a highlighted square to move it. Glowing dots mark your legal moves.
- Drag to turn the board around, and pinch or scroll to zoom.
- Tap the lightbulb for a hint (three per game, short cooldown). The gear icon changes difficulty, toggles move hints and mutes audio.
- For a two-player game, tap Play a Friend, create a room and share the code.
