About the game
Chess Online Multiplayer is a chessboard you can open against the computer, another player online, or a friend beside you on one screen. No sign-up stands in the way.
You win by checkmating the other king. Pick a difficulty from Beginner to World Champion, or a pace from Unlimited through Bullet, Blitz, Rapid and Classic. Hints, move undo and a review after the match help you spot where things went wrong. The tricky part is holding your plan together once the board opens up.
How to play
- Tap a piece, then tap the square you want it on. Pieces follow standard chess movement.
- Pawns step one square ahead and take diagonally; knights jump in an L.
- Use hints, undo or handicap toggles before and during a game against the computer.
- Castle only when king and rook are untouched, the path is clear, and the king is not in or passing through check.
