About the game
Moon Chess is a puzzle and board game built around the phases of the moon. You take on a character called the Half Moon and work at joining the lunar phases in order, starting at the Crescent and building toward the Full Moon, to collect points.
Light and shadow keep shifting as you go, so the arrangement you face does not stay still. The phases follow patterns drawn from real astronomy, which means watching the moon's rhythm matters as much as planning your next move. It rewards patience and a bit of brain work rather than fast fingers.
How to play
- Join the lunar phases in sequence, from Crescent through to Full Moon, to score points.
- Watch how light and shadow shift, since the board changes with the moon's cycle.
- Plan each move around the Half Moon's play and the phase pattern in front of you.
