Poki: How Cookies and Browser Storage Work
Poki takes a plain approach to cookies: no tracking cookies are placed by the site. The sole item kept on your device is the browser storage that a game requires to keep your progress, such as the level you reached or your high score.
What the site stores
During play, a game might save a little data in your browser, for example your best score, your settings, or the point where you stopped. It remains on your device. If you clear your browser data, it disappears.
Cookies inside game frames
Many Poki games come from outside developers and run in a frame on the page. Those games, and the ad partner serving ads within them, may place their own cookies. Those cookies are outside our control. Typically they help a game remember you or display relevant ads.
How consent works
Starting a game means you accept the cookies that the game and its ad partner may set. If you would rather avoid them, don't start the game, or block cookies in your browser beforehand.
How to block or delete cookies
- On Android Chrome: tap the three dots, then Settings, then Site settings, then Cookies. You can block all cookies or clear stored data.
- On a laptop: open your browser settings, find Privacy or Cookies, and delete site data or block third-party cookies.
- To clear just Poki: open the padlock icon next to the address, then Site settings, then clear the data.
Some games may no longer save your score if cookies are blocked. They still load and remain playable.
